Will the surgery tool work?

Hi All, My open rny is scheduled for tomorrow. I am having the surgery to regain my health. Last night, my husband, who is extremely supportive, finally confessed that he is scared. Scared of the risks, but mainly scared that if I go through all of this, it may not work to eliminate the high blood pressure, fatigue, kidney problems, etc. I realize there are no guarantees, but to me, the option is this or have my health go down even faster. What did you say to a scared DH to reassure him? Thanks!
