I hve terrible constant heartburn and indigestion. What could this be from post-op?

RNY 5/17/01. I am constantly in pain and can't eat anything that doesn't cause this burning and burping. It is constant and even wakes me at night. It has been ongoing for months now. I just had a baby and was hoping it would go away after delivery but it hasn't. I am getting depressed from being so uncomfortable all of the time and have tried all of the prescription antacids which only make me vomit. Please help. My doctor wants to do an endoscopy but because I am nursing I can't get put to sleep and I am scared and have heard that it is an awful procedure. HELP!
