how much weight does the nutritionist have on qualifying

I saw the nutritinist today. We were supposed to be going over what I am to eat post op. Instead she is suggesting that I try yet another diet similiar to Optifast! How much weight does her evaluatin have? My PCP (who I have seen for years) feels that I am a candidate. The nutritionist has seen me this one time. I do not want her opinion to interfer with my having the surgery. Has anyone else had the same or similiar experience? Rochelle
