Did you have to have your station raised?

I work in a call center, and my desk is a cube. With a doctor's note, we have the option to have our Ergo department "raise" our station to a stand-up station. They do this by raising our computer platform higher, and giving us a taller chair. That is so we can either stand or sit, and still do our job comfortably. This is usually done for pregnant women and people with back or knee problems that can't sit for long periods of time. I was wondering if anyone out there had this done at their workplace, and found it beneficial when it comes to pain management. I'm having Lap RNY on 09/11/02, and if I need to get my station raised, want to get the request in before I leave. Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :-)
