Anyone there been approved for wls without the blessing of a psych.?

Hi, has anyone out there been approved for weight loss surgery regardless of the outcome of your psychological evaluation? The Dr. said she doesn't think I am mentally ready for it. This is a huge drawback because I feel I am ready. All the information the insurance needs will be faxed to them soon (letter from PCP, nutritional and psych. evals.)
