I would love to hear from anyone who has had the Lap-Band surgery.

My surgeon is recommending the lap-band because of a surgery I had a few years ago, he feels it would be safer for me. I would love to hear from anyone who's had this done and what your weight loss progress has been like, if you've suffered any complications, has your diabetes (if diabetic) gotten better since the surgery and if anyone has had to have the surgery reversed. Oh and what was your experience with the insurance company? I know many ins. co. do not cover this surgery because they feel it's experimental. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
