Can you still lose weight if your revised but the stoma is left at a size 20?
I am looking for information regarding post-op success or failures afer a revision. I am scheduled to have my pouch smaller and transected. My intestines reconnected to a distal RNY. However, the stoma size of 20 will be left in tact due to the severity of the surgery to reconstruct it. Is it still possible to successfully lose the weight leaving the stoma that large but revising everything else?
