I do not intend on telling a lot of my family and friends about my surgery

Has anyone gotten by with this and if so how did you explain your weight loss. I am a private person and prefer that everyone not know I went through this surgery. I am not ashamed as I have told those I want to know. Others, I think it just isn't their business. Any suggestions or how to handle this or should I just bite the bullet and tell them?
