Just had my pre-op appointments and I'm crying uncontrollably

Please Please someone help. Friday I went to have all my pre-op appointments prior to my June 28 surgery. After about 30 minutes with the dietician, I lost it! I started crying uncontrollably. All I could think about/hear is what I cannot eat...bread, pasta, rice, carbonated beverages, etc. She looked at me funny and ended the meeting quickly. I guess all I can think about is that this is for THE REST OF MY LIFE. This is really SILLY but it almost makes me want to back out of my surgery. Is this unusual? Am I seriously mourning food????!!! Please respond.
