I feel like I am starving

I am 5 1/2 months out from surgery. As of late I feel like a ravenous animal. [I am about 1 1/2 weeks from my mensus].Could that be it ? It seems as if Iam constantly hungry. I can eat a slice of toast at a sitting, or about a cup of soft food . Any suggestions ?
