How does wls affect your shoe size?

I found a great pair of shoes that I'm considering buying and they're on clearance for a great price. But then I started thinking that I seem to remember a friend telling me after she lost some weight, and in her case probably only about 30 pounds, that her shoesize shrunk. So since my surgery is in less than one month, I'm wondering if I buy those great shoes ow if they'll still fit after I lose weight. Any post-ops have any experiences to share about this?
