Will my life ever be
I will be having Open RNY with a Fobi-type pouch in a month. I would like to hear from other people who have had this procedure as to how normal your life has become. I know that my food intake will be restricted from now on, but I'm curious to know if I will ever truly be able to eat a BALANCED diet, including carbs. and some sweets. Please don't tell me this surgery is a "tool" and that I shouldn't sabotage myself; I know all of that. But is life fairly normal? Will I be able to indulge (in small amounts) occasionally? Because I don't want to feel like I'm on a diet for the rest of my life. If I could do that, I wouldn't need surgery.
