Could I need to be dilated at 4 weeks post op?

I am 4 weeks post-op. I can't keep anything down. I was able to keep water down until this afternoon...and I even threw that up! My dr. seems so reluctant to dilate this early....why would that be?? Is there a concern about dilating too early? I'm so discouraged. :-(
