What is a divided gastic bypass?

Hi, I just got an e-mail from my Dr. I have been having pain in my left side and I am 10 mos out -131lbs. I was really concerned because I gained 5 lbs. But the doctor told me it is impossible for me to have a staple line disruption because I have a DIVIDED GASTRIC BYPASS. WHAT IS THAT? HELP!!
