Why did I have this surgery? Someone remind me please.

I am feeling really down about this whole thing. My whole life is different now. I haven't lost anything in 2 weeks now...maybe 1 pound. I can't get my bowel movements normal. I have to go back to work next week and I feel like I'm not an any type of schedule at all. Any suggestions?
