Fainting while walking after surgery has me concerned.

I had an exploratory lap about 7 years ago. They had me walk shortly after I woke up from the anaesthesia, and I fainted. They dropped me AND I HIT THE FLOOR! It hurt a lot. I'm scared it will happen again. Did the nurses hold you up? What kept you from falling?
