What if an MRI should be needed in the future?

I've asked before about whether or not titanium staples affect metal detectors. Now I want to know if they affect -or more to the point, if WE can be adversely affected by an MRI with these staples. As an MRI is a huge magnet, and I've heard horror stories about what undeclared metal can do to a person getting an MRI, should this be an area of concern? I'm thinking maybe an addition to a medic i.d. might be necessary if it does. Any MRI techs out there?
