Attention: Kaiser No. CA patients RE: 10% pre-op weight loss

Hello...I have Kaiser No. CA and have just been informed that all patients MUST lose 10% of their body weight before surgery. The stressed that if you don't lose the 10%, you will have your surgery cancelled. My question to Kaiser pts. is, did you all lose the required 10% before surgery? Were they as strict about it being exactly 10%? I am terrified that I won't lose the 27 lbs. I need to lose. The first 5 have already come off (yay for me), but I'm still upset and scared that I won't be able to do it. Any suggestions also for losing this weight are welcome. Hugs, Joy
