Will the staples that are used in transecting the stomach set off metal detectors?

When my stomach is transected and stapled during my RNY, I assume the staples are metal. Will they set off metal detectors in airports? Or will they prevent me from having a MRI? I have to have an MRI every year for another medical condition, and I have to remove ALL metal before the MRI is taken.
