Is it possible to get Voc Rehab to pay for WLS in 3 months?

I have been contemplating leaving my job for over six months, but have been hung up due to my insurance company and waiting for approval. My mother is ill and I need to return to care for her but my health insurance has been said to cover WLS. If I just cut my losses and start over, could I begin the voc rehab process before I leave and be classified as disabled? I truly believe that I am, this is not a scam, but a desperate attempt to get help.
