Yet another hair loss question....

Hi, I'm on the road to getting the DS, but I'm really worried about losing hair. I've got really pretty long brown curly hair (at least I like it, lol) and I don't want to lose it. I understand that I will enevitably have some hair loss, and I've read all the other questions on this issue, but no one has really answered my questions: Is it noticable to the general public? I mean do you have like bald patches or is the loss pretty evenly distributed? Does it just look like you have thin hair for the most part? I like my hair :( My boyfriend likes my hair ;) I just don't want to look like more of a freak than I already do... if that's possible :P
