Any employees of Kaiser insurance get approval?

I am thinking of applying for a job in Pasadena, CA with Kaiser Insurance. I was wondering if any employees who work for them had an easy or difficult time getting approval and if I would have to wait a year to try for surgery approval? I would hope that since I would be an employee of the insurance company itself that I would not have to worry about the waiting period or any pre-existing condition clause. Any help is appreciated.
