Y'know - I never needed all the teeny tupperware type dishes some people recommended, but I really used those itty bitty baby spoons.

Let God's presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom
to sing, dance, praise, and love.  It is there for each and every one of us.

OMG  - this even makes it more real than them giving me a surgery date!   I guess I was thinking if my insurance company denied it - then it was a way for me to just say "oh well I tried".

I am down from 293 to 275 this morning.  I would like another 10 pounds before 7/27 - but am not going to kill myself - just keep plugging along.   I am trying to organize all of the things I will need done before surgery - both at work and at home and frankly that is more daunting than the surgery at times!

I have ordered:  Isopure Zero Carb vanilla protein and Syntrax Nectar Unflavored Whey Protein Isolate; liquid tylenol, chewable Gas X, wellesse liquid calcium.  And I have purchased centrum adult chewables, some crystal lite, sippy cups, strainer, pill crusher, etc...

Anything I am missing? other than preparing a will!

Persevere.

Some days you wake up feeling tired or distracted. You just don't have the time or energy to follow your WLS regimen at that moment. So, you skip breakfast, or eat that slice of cold pizza that you righteously avoided the night before. Days of discouragement shouldn't surprise you. They are reminders that food will always be complicated -- either a comfort or a distraction.

The key to real change is perseverance. When you take a misstep, for whatever reason, know that you will continue to persevere in your WLS recovery. You will start over at the next meal--you will overcome the temptation next time. That is how you'll succeed. Being perfect just isn't going to happen. So persevere.

Action for the day: No matter where you are in your recovery, today you will persevere. Start over every time you stray from your plan. Start over as often as necessary.

Hello to all..sorry I have been away from the board for awhile..I have been busy taking much needed vacations and spending time at the pool with my two little girlies. I just had to post and tell you all that I finally hit my 100 pound mark :) I had lost 93 pounds as of the 17th of May..and I have lost another 19 pounds since that..which gives me a total of 112 pounds gone!!!! I am so excited I could just cry..or laugh..or both..to think I was at almost 400 pounds a little over a year ago is just mind bending to me..and now I am at 261 and am just as happy as I can be..still have alot to lose..but I will get there. Thank you all so much for your kind words and your support..it all means alot. I was at a big scrapbooking crop this last weekend and there were people who did not recognise me from last year..lol..that was the best..one of my friends did a little photo shoot with me..I hope to have the pics to post soon. Hugs to All..Katie
