Hurray!
That means that I may yet get my panniculectomy this year! I'll be a model patient, I promise!
I just wanted to let you all know that the past two weeks I have felt alot more Happy! Which is a great thing for me considering my first month I was definitely having some regrets and depression. I am back to the gym and loving it - sore as hell though. I am down a total of 55 pounds - 20 pre op and 35 post op. I am down from a size 22 into my size 18 this week. So all good.
That isnt to say I havent had a few puking sessions recently - my first was at week 6, then once last week and once this week. I do have some issues with veggies that are not cooked well. And sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for the grouchy pouch. But overall I am doing well. I appreciate all of you *****ally helped me through the tough beginning weeks - Yvonne especially! hug.
Thats my update!!

I do take magnesium but more for ummm keeping me "regular"? There are some really good books out there for fibromyalgia and one of them is "They can't find anything wrong" by David Clarke. Many people have been cured of their pain when they find out how much is involved with emotional issues. It has been a God send for me. I know one woman that went from being in a wheelchair to walking normally after figuring out what was causing this physical pain due to emotional pain. I hope that helps and you might check with your nutritionist about taking magnesium.
hugs, Y

Taking time for ourselves is sometimes difficult for us to do. Every now and again we need to be reminded of how important this can be.
Here are a few lines from an article in last year's OH Magazine by Connie Stapleton, Phd
Make a chart of the essentials for success. Complete it daily and reward yourself (not with food) each day that you complete every goal.
Take your calendar and mark off time each day for the essentials.
Develop the mantra; "It's What I Do"
When you don't feel like exercising remind yourself: "It's What I Do"... then do it!
When you don't want to pass up dessert, remind yourself: "It's What I Do"... then pass it up!
When you feel too tired to write in your food and exercise journals, remind yourself: "It's What I Do"... then do it!
Think like a thin person.
Remind yourself: "If I want long-term success, I make the time."
There are no "good excuses" for not taking time to choose healthy behaviors.
Be a friend yourself.
The time you take to do the essentials for long-term success leads to your health and happiness.

I am so sorry about your nausea! I had to take some anti-nausea pills for a while, they helped me. I know there are several kinds so maybe if the one you have isn't helpful, maybe another one will.
I am concerned about your protein comment. You have got to have the protein. Right after surgery I could not tolerate much but found a little pouch drinks from a local store that were in fruit flavors and I tolerated them well, they are 70 cal and 15 g protein. If you message me an address I will send you some samples of them I have left. They mix up like crystal light.
It is early from your gall bladders surgery so don't give up hope yet. It can take several months for your body to adjust to your gall bladder being gone. It has to relearn how to deal with things. I am confident you will see some improvement with time.
Let me know how you are. I will send those packets right away if you want to try them, they were a life saver for me!
Thank you for all for the kind replys to my post. I needed it.I have been doing much thinking about what was said and something really stuck with me. When things in life get tough, I have always used weight as my default blame. Unhappy with kids.....it's cause I'm fat, you get the idea. That has not changed since surgery so when I get really frustrated at home, or at work or overloaded, it is natural to blame my weight, instead of blaming the real problem cause it would make me an ugly person if I let all of my frustration vent on others. Hating and being discouraged in myself seems more acceptable???
I am doing better. I am still overloaded, stressed and wishing for stronger weight loss numbers, I am just not defeated over it!
Thank you for the encouragement.
Thanks so much!!! I know these things, but some how they are not as good to me as my food. But I have to get the food reward stuff out of my system. I will continue to think postive and thanks againg for such encouraging words!!
