Topic: I had to share a huge success with you!
Yesterday I went to the heath-club and I can't believe what I did to meet this challenge I got in on my MyFitnessPal.com where I keep my food and exercise diaries. 1 of my knee was a little wobbly sometime at a dinner at my Mom's place, but it is OK this morning. To meet goal of my challenge of 360 minutes this week, I did 25 min on Elliptical; 50 min on bike & 72 min on weights which equals 147 min & 1509 calories burned per my HRM. Whoooohoo! I felt soooo good! This was a all time high for me in one workout session & I lived!!
I may try to make that a goal of mines when I am able to go to gym on a Saturday or Sunday. To just do a marathon workout..I would have never even attempted this if I was not pushing myself to reach challenge goal. I have entered many of these challenges in the last 3 months and so far I have never reached goal and I am determine to reach this one this week.
The other thing is I went to my Mother's place where they had the standard southern Sunday fare (which is very fattening) and I was determined not to out eat my workout! I did good over her place and was under my calories. The only healthy items there were the string beans and turkey. And since she kept asking me to take a plate home, that is what I brought home. I had small portions of some of the other favorites but refused to bring any of it home for today.
I also entered another challenge on that board this month and I am going to reach it too! It is a weight challenge. My goal in that challenge is to lose 7 pounds this month. If I keep exercising 360 min per week and clean eating most times I will reach this goal also. I am going to do it!
I like these challenges because they give me accountability because I have to check in and others inspire me to do more. Even not making the goals when I do the challenge is good because I have a goal to reach for.
Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for your support!!

Topic: gallbladder was removed finally
I just wanted to say hi to everyone and keep you posted on my latest journey to success...
I had my gb surgery Friday 10/01. Went in at 6 am home by 1:30pm. How cool is that ....no overnight stay. Anyway I am doing good and so far have not taken any pain meds. I hate taking them because they make me so nauseous that I rather have pain then deal with that. I don't see the surgeon again till 10/13. I hope he releases me then to go back to the gym and pool. I want to get back on tract with my exercising and eating. I picked up one of my old habits and tend to graze(that is if I wasn't sick from the gb) So I am looking at this time to readjust and get back on track. I also have to find away to handle the emotional eating. I have plenty of scrapbooking and card making to keep me from eating. You cant eat while doing those projects.LOL
