Thank you for your response!  In the last 2 weeks I have went back to weighing myself every single day.  I did it for a year before I had surgery and about 4 years afterwards and I stopped.  I don't know why I stopped but I did.  After these last few months of ups and downs I realized I needed to go back to weighing myself every single day and journeling my everything put in my mouth. I know when I weigh myself everyday I have that number in my head and it when I want something unhealthy I don't eat it because I tell myself it will make me fat.

I needed to read this post today.  I used to not anything over 10 grams of sugar as recommended by my WLS surgeons team but I stopped doing that too.  From this day forward I also am going back to that.  And the ironic thing about this Y is I have never been a real sweets person. I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THIS POST BABE!!

November is year end at my job so I have been too busy to post but people still respond to my post and that is so helpful to me because I can get ideas, encouragement, etc.  Since I posted regularly almost everyday someone emails me.   And remember when you suggested that too me over 6 months ago!!  You are awesome and what you give back helps so many and me included.  You reached out to me about your group and that got me on my way again!!!

I don't know how I can ever repay you for all the support you have given me since March.

HUGS,
Molly

I absolutely will not eat over 8 grams of sugar in anything.  I have not had anything sweet like cake, candy, pie, etc in almost ten years.  Above all though is weighing every morning and never allowing myself to go over 5 pounds over my "line the sand" weight.  It's actually closer to 2 or 3 pounds.  It is what works for me.  I know if I don't go 5 pounds over I won't go any more than that.
I find it much easier to absolutely not do something instead of doing something a little bit.  There is a lot of wiggle room in how much is a "little bit".  Like I've said before.  100% is easy, 99% not so much.  Even though I could eat fried stuff I just don't anymore.  I have lost my taste for it since I haven't done it in so long.  Again I totally believe that you lose your craving for things if you go long enough without them.  Great post!

I can't believe it's been a year! I remember when you were having surgery.  I need to start going back and grabbing posts from members right before they had surgery.

Now...the important part.  Dating.
I really hope I can reach you on this.  When you say that guys just look at you and that's about it, that's because you are thinking that is what is happening.  We project our feelings about ourselves and if you think you are not worthy of dating, others will pick up on that.  How do I know?  I started dating with loose skin and hadn't been on any boards to tell me otherwise.  I met my husband who was a "celebrity" in Dallas.  I had listened to him for ten years as a radio talk show host.  I didn't know I wasn't supposed to date so I stepped on out there.  When it came time to be more intimate I explained that I had WLS and I had loose skin.  If he had decided to run at that point it would have hurt BUT that would have been best.  Instead he told me he didn't care and he ended up paying for reconstructive surgery later on.  He loved me for my heart.  I'll be totally honest with you...there are some inventive ways to feel better about yourself once you get to the intimate part.  I wore my bra a lot, I kept it kinda dark but I'm telling you that a man that sees your heart will not care.  If he does care you don't need him.  What happens when we get old and gray and wrinkled?  That's not what love is about.  What I'm trying to tell you is that you are putting yourself in a prison regarding dating. I was lucky....I just didn't know any better.

Please if you have any questions, let me know.  I think this applies to the last part of your post too!  Your subconscious is telling you that you are not good enough to date.  Turn it around and KNOW you are fabulous!!  I hope this helped.  I really tried my best to explain this the best way I could.  I know Kathylovesred is dating and maybe she can contribute.
Big hugs, Y
