WLS Success-through Powerful Positive Attitudes

Thanks SO much for your kind words! As far as shooting in the raw-LOL! If I was..I wouldn't know it-I am that elementary at it!
Hugs and thanks again!
I had a fun thing come about last night. My daughter takes voice lessons (she takes after her mother ;) and her voice teacher asked if I would like to sing a duet with her and perform possibly at the next concert!!!! I haven't sang in ages so I'm really excited!!
I have asthma as well as fibrosing mediastinites which is a mass which is connected to my superior vena cava (sp) and when it was growing it pushed into my windpipe. I cough up crap throughout the day and then the asthma sometimes flares up. So with this I quit singing for church. But like I said, this is real exciting for me and a way for me to possibly get back into singing and sharing my gift from God with others.
Later!
So, anyway, I read back through what you originally wrote, and it does sound a bit dump-y. Do you know what you ate? If you know, and you know how you react to it, it will be no problem to avoid it in the future! I hope you're feeling better today!
Thanks for the gentle reminder and thanks for being you.
OK my beautiful lady??
hugs, Y

I just thought once I lost the weight, the 'mental' aspects would fall in place. Some days are great, others not so much--but I'm working on it.
People look at me like I have three heads when I head to the 'plus' size section to shop; but after 20 years, it's not nearly as easy to get out of that mindset. I'm also hyper-critical of myself now--my batwings, the way my triple chin, boobs, etc have all seemed to settle around my waist or my saggy thighs and non-existent butt.
Thankfully, I have a WONDERFUL husband who thought I was the sexiest woman alive BEFORE WLS, and still thinks so now!! I also have four kids, who contstantly remind me how 'awesome' it is to have me do all the fun things with them that I used to pass up, or just sit and watch.
Losing the weight was much, much easier than getting the mind to 'catch-up'.

My best friend gave me the best advice
He said each day's a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind
And try to take the path less traveled by
That first step you take is the longest stride
Here are a few...
And if you feel this is inappropriate, feel free to let me know and I will delete it, but this was just cracked me right up. The first one I did was disqualified and I was asked to redo it... The theme of the contest was to create an ad that failed...
This contest was for misplacing a landmark...
This one was colorizing a black and white...
~laughing~ This one was for Create a Greeting Card for a new holiday...
Had to turn a celebrity into Manga... I chose Kirsten Dunst
Okay, stopping now... but I have a bunch of them on my flickr site... http://www.flickr.com/ny-rain if anyone wants to see more!

I won with the rose/pearls (real picture)
Again these are MANY years ago. Another of my winners
4th place on this one
This one didn't rank so high but I loved it
Lots of photo manipulation of my niece....again didn't rank so high. Obviously digital imaging.
This one did OK.
A Dallas Skyline
Kinda funny ....digital imaging
Our Dallas loft a few years ago
A shadow of myself
The cutest cat mom and baby picture I ever took
This one was a second place winner
I spent so many hours competing and it was fairly political. It's funny I did the image below with some basic tricks and it did really well but yet I spend hours on the one of my neice and it didn't do that well.
thanks Krysti for the walk down memory lane and thanks everyone else for putting up with me doing it. Krysti I'd love for you to share yours too! My other big fun thing I do is put people in the picture that were never there or take them out. I can put you in a picture with someone famous and you'd never know it was fake.
