Sharon they did a study with maids in hotels and pointed out to part of the study group just how much physical work they actually did every day.  When they realized their job equaled so many hours in the gym they started losing weight and getting healthier.  You stayed up moving furniture and it's important to tell your brain that you did work out just not at the gym.  Our subsconscious is very powerful.  Remember to start each day as innocent as a new born baby.  The past is gone and cannot be changed so we get a do over every morning.  If you bring baggage from yesterday forward to today you only hurt yourself and bring yourself down OK?  When you get down, read that post about "I can do hard things".

So, I am journaling the experience(with love and humor), I went a head and spent the money on clothes that will make me feel like the hottest big girl I can possibly be, and splurged on fabulous accessories.  I got an incredible dress to go see shows in (sequins and rhinestones galore) and some  things for underneath.  I am officially excited.  I got married in Vegas and decided that this Bonn Voyage to the fat me is our anniversary present.  DH seems to have gotten in the spirit

And I come back to that "second" interview that got postponed due to record snowfall....yippee!!!

Wish me luck!!!!!

I'm thinking there should be a great joke in this.  Do you remember Epilady shavers that yanked the hair out of your legs.  Joan Rivers said she walked down the hotel corridor and heard a woman screaming and didn't kmow if she was being murdered or using her Epilady.  We could add  OR a newly post-op trying on new clothes!

Congratulations on your WOW moment. Those of the moments when we know this journey is worth everyday it took to get here.   I was like you, I cannot get into this.  But I started larger and had to keep putting my clothes back on to go get the next smaller size, then the next smaller size until I was screaming in the dressing room with such joy.   What a great day you had.

Yup it was good!  I know what you mean about not doing that BEFORE...

years ago when I had lost a great deal of weight I had been invited to a wedding.. and at the reception I actually STARTED a line dance and had everyone join ME! then I gained lots of weight over the next years and would sit as far from the dance floor as i could.... :(

So nice to feel and BE part of the FUN of living!

I got to come home from the hospital this afternoon. My goal for next week is to go no where near a hospital. All the nursed & doctors were nice, I'm just tired of eating nothing but chicken broth. Hopefully I am on the mend now and I won't have any more problems.

I TOTALLY hear you on that. There are certain things that FREAK me out more than others. Girl issues are one of them. Not sure why-but for sure I get MORE anxious about them ..then say..my actual WLS! LOL!

When is your outpatient date??

How are you doing today?

I found this website-it's by a lady that felt there was very little info and support on the web. Not sure if you can use it-

Hope all is well. I am heading to bed shortly. I have some favorite jammies and hubby and I are listening to "The lovely bones" audio book. It has become our tradition to get a new audio book each week to listen to at bed time!!

Hugs and hang in there!

Peace,

Hiya!!

Thanks for keeping us all updated of what's going on. I am also glad your doctors sound like they are ON it! That is what you really need.

Also glad you got your laptop. I know for me it's like my umbilical cord! LOLOL!!

Get yourself feeling better and home soon!

Nothing much happening over here. It's almost 10 pm UK time and I am REALLY looking forward to my jammies and an audio book!

Peace,
T

That was 44 years of waiting for the Saints to win a super bowl.  44 years!! I was born and bred in Louisiana and moved to Texas in the 80's.  So it was sheer excitement!  No alcohol at all!  I'm glad you guys liked it!

Super great post.  I don't know what's going on with me but the last couple of days have been bad.  I'm fortunate that I don't eat any more to self medicate but I can sure do some isolating.  I also seem to see a connection when the sun goes away for several days.  Texas just got more snow than it's had in 30 years.  Goofy me didn't think about putting the pool umbrella down.  It broke at 3AM.  At least it fell to the good side.  No biggie...just a cir****tance, not a problem.  People in Haiti have problems....putting it in perspective is the key.

Great post my love!
