Well my primary Dr called back this afternoon. I am on two blood pressure pills. They said to stop taking the one that also has a water pill in it. I'm to try this and see what happens. They didn't want me to stop both at once.  I have to see them on the 23rd and we will see about the other one at that time. If I have any problems before then I'm to call.

Thanks so much Guys

So.... Have you heard from the doctor? Sounds like you'll be coming off that bp medicine...

Mine were gone very shortly after surgery.

WOO HOO for us!

Hi Tressa--I had the exact same situation.  I had to go into the office--the nurse took my bp and I was directed to stop taking the meds.  I didn't have high BP before surgery--but right after surgery my BP was through the roof so they gave me a Rx.  Two weeks after surgery my BP was way too low with the meds.  Don't be surprised though if you continue to feel lightheaded once your BP is regulated--your body has undergone a huge transition and the lack of food and liquids could also make you feel lightheaded---but I assure you that will not last long!

Take good care of yourself and let us know how things go!

Yes honey I have..you need to call your Dr right away! Nothing to be scared of just you need to let him know what is going on. I will bet he reduces your bp meds. It is amazing how soon after surgery that my DH and I both had ours reduced. Losing a little weight makes a big difference in your bp. Please call your surgeon or your family dr. in the morning and see what they have to say..I could be wrong..but I almost bet that they will reduce those meds for ya. So glad you asked about this as it is a very important to keep an eye on your bp. Keep taking such great care of yourself..Im so glad the scale is going down for you and you are sitting on the losers bench with us..Hugs..Katie

I have been getting light headed off/on since surgery. I figured it was due to being on liquids and no real food. Now I don't know. If I get up from a chair or get out of bed (I'm not jumping up quickly Ü) i get the dizzy feeling. Sometimes I feel heart palpitations when I go upstairs at night. I walked on the treadmill today with no problems but this morning I was light headed. I took my blood pressure and it was 97/64. Its been running around 100-105 over 60-68. I do take bp meds but wonder if these new pressures are way to low. Anyone else have this?

Katie.... I love your pictures... remember to take photos all along the journey. For some reason I have a big lapse between my pre-surgery and where I am now.  While I did post the ONEDERLAND photo of the scale- I don't have a photo of me at 199.

Try to take photos of you & your hubby every 10-15 lbs.
You will be amazed a what a difference those lbs can make!

Both of you - Keep up the good work as you support each other!

hugs!

Oh Yvonne you are such a sweetie! You have no idea how badly I needed to hear your wonderful words tonight. I sat here at the computer and cried as I read your advice..because it was just so awesome!! I talked to my DH about the gym membership tonight. Fortunately we are at a wonderful place that does not use year memberships..it goes month to month...so tomorrow he is going to stop in and cancel our membership. He says its not worth having it hanging over our heads and we can buy alot of work out videos for 50.00 a month. Plus I totally forgot that I got a Wii Fit Plus board and game for Christmas!! So I can play everyday with my little girls when they get home from school and we can both burn off some energy! I don't have to be embarrassed anymore and worry about people looking at me at the gym..its so liberating. If anyone has any workout DVD ideas for me that would be a big help. I do love to dance and putting on music and dancing sounds like a great idea. I promise no more stinkin thinkin about the exercise and thanks again for the great advice..thats why they pay you the big bucks..LMAO  Big Hugs..Katie

I AGREE! I've always liked that one.  It is from when I lost weight back in early 90's. Hair was long & still naturally blonde...
it is short now... and also natural although it has been a number of different colors in between then & now.... and who knows... it may get changed again.....
