Thanks for sharing.  I drink 10 to 12 glasses of water daily.  If my urine is still dark I may drink more.  So far 12 has been plenty with water I get from veggies and fruits.

Topic: **PLease** Join OAC ---

Greetings My WPPA Friends

I hope this New Year finds each of you happy and healthy.

I wanted to let everyone know what a friend is doing. MaryEllen Rugerrio is recruiting members for OAC to win a trip to the Las Vegas Event (I beleive our beautiful leader is speaker there). However MaryEllen is not trying to win the trip for herself, she is trying to win so she can donate it to WLSFA so they can give it to a deserving member. I resect the hard work MaryEllen is doing, and selflessly at that.  It costs $20 to join, and it is a tax deductable donation. If you are in a place to donate at the moment, I beleive this to be a good cause to "Pay it Forward" Please remember when it asks if someone recruited you to join to give  MaryEllen Rugerrio 's name.

Thank You!

Be Well My Friends

Topic: Available spot for the Spring Retreat in Virginia Beach with Katie Jay
Hi all-   I’m sending this out to all of my WLS friends.  Please pass this around to anyone who might be interested!   Thank you very much..   This is a special note for the ladies!  I reserved a spot last year for the women’s double header spring retreat in 2011 with Katie Jay at Virginia beach.  Due to some personal cir****tances I am unable to attend the retreat.    Therefore this leaves an available spot at a discounted rate.  I’m including the link to the retreat below.    http://www.nawls.com/public/1648.cfm   The dates of the double header retreat are April 28 to May 4 which is two retreats back to back.  The two different themes are WLS Stages of Transformation and Boundaries Bootcamp! The cost of the retreat includes:   1.       A private room 2.       WLS – friendly meals plus optional snacks 3.       Workshops, small group discussions, trust-building activities, time for directed introspection, journaling, guided imagery, coaching, swimming, walking on the beach and more 4.       All retreat materials, workbook and reference materials 5.       An extra nights stay for free 6.       Time with fellow WLS patients and Katie Jay 7.       A retreat catered to you and your WLS journey   **More bonuses are listed on the website**   If you are female WLS patient and are interested in attending the retreat I can offer you my spot at a discounted rate.  The payment would be made directly to me since I’ve already purchased it, then I would pass along your information to the NAWLS staff so they can give you further instructions regarding transportation, menu options etc.   Check out the website link for pictures of the house you will be staying at which is located on the beach.  If you are interested in making an investment in your journey by attending this 8 day retreat please send me an email at [email protected] and I will give you more details.  There are limited spots available for the retreat and many of the spots for the single retreats have been sold out.   Thank you for your time and have a great day..

I am soooooooooo happy for you!  I'm so glad you're blogging.  Don't worry you'll eventually adjust on your size.  I still have a few issues like thinking I'm bigger than I am but I rarely go to the larger sizes anymore.  Give yourself some time and most of all take pictures often!

Molly I so agree!  I felt exactly like you do from the pain to the much better concentration on the food addiction.  I can't wait until next week.  I think it's so cute when Rickywayne started feeling better about himself and changed up his hair and facial hair.  That's when they start to see a glimmer of light and start to shine.  Thanks for posting this sweetie.

Hello stranger.......:-)

Well I watched every minute of it.  I admit I have tears when I see these shows but they are good for me to see and therefore I always watch.  I admit they are painful but they are also inspirational and as you said they are reminders to us of where we came from and where we do not want to go back too.

I like this show better than the biggest loser because the biggest loser is more like a contest now matter how you slice it.  Don't get me wrong, I like the biggest loser too and I feel they change peoples lives also.  But the difference between the 2 shows is this show deals more with the food addiction issue and the mental/mind side of obesity.  I see TBL is trying to deal with this side of it more as the years go on, but they do not have this show beat by a long shot because these people are seeing a real therapist.  And I loved it when they saw that the man was gaining the weight back they let him come back to the facility.

I can definitely relate since I use to be super morbidly obese also and still struggle with food addiction and emotional eating also.

It's interesting that many said they couldn'****ch it because it was painful.  That's the reason they NEED to watch it.  Everyone needs to remember what it was like and not forget where they came from.  I think this show does an excellent job of it.  I think it's on tonight so don't forget!!
