WLS Success-through Powerful Positive Attitudes

I just wanted to thank you for your time today. I appreciated so very much.
Just a little FYI to everybody else.
I am a newbie hear and about 2-3 months on the board in general. I have been frustrated about all the WLS and the bulliness on other board. I started the journey wanting the RNY and as I did more and more research I considered the DS. I still wonder if I am making the right decision no matter which one I do but they both have their pro's and con's. I have a BMI of 42 and I am not a big eater just yoyoing all my life.
Yvonne told me about this group and I hope to have better advice here whether it be good or bad but at least not attacking. I want to hear the truth either way I just don't like the bulliness.
Thanks again Yvonne!! It was great chatting with you!!!
I need to research that same thing for feet. I sometimes have horrible pain at night in my feet and I don't know what it is. I wake up and move my feet for a bit and it will finally go away but it's just brutal sometimes.
YEA for you for going to another practice!! Good thinking girlfriend. There's usually another way and it's so great that you went looking for a solution.
hugs, Y

I kinda wish when we posted here it would be listed under "recent posts". I usually go to my recent posts to see if anyone has replied to my threads, but when i post here, it doesn't show up. I never do the "notify me of any posts" because when I would, I would gets pages of email from every time someone responded to a thread and it got a bit taxing to deal with. So I always un-check that box at he bottom. But the main reason I bring this up is because I tend to forget to check the group, except once a week when Yvonne (and thank you by the way) sends out the mass message about the board.
Again, no huge deal, I just wish there was a way to show my posts here under the recent posts button. If I have missed something and you can enable this, please let me know how.
Thanks again for being there, even though I tend to forget you sometimes :)
Take care all and lose 'em if you got 'em! :)
I had the same problem with my physician's office when I started trying to have my surgery. In my experience, if you have a hard time reaching the staff BEFORE surgery, you will have a hard time reaching them afterwords. I ended up changing physicians after surgery. I would not give up on them yet. You still have more to do before you have surgery. If this is TRUELY the only reason that you haven't been contacted, you will see changes before surgery. I was told once that the office puts you through a lot before surgery to make sure that you really want it. If you want it, you will work for it. I don't know if that is true or not, but it IS frustrating.
I do understand the requirement for the seminar beforehand. While YOU already had done your research, and knew everything that they said, MANY don't. There is no way for them to decipher. You would be amazed how many people jump into WLS. You wouldn't want a surgeon to cut on you that didn't make sure that you were ready for it.
I hope that things get better. Good Luck.

I did a REALLY good thing for myself today. I FINALLY went to a podiatrist for my plantar fasciitis that I have in BOTH feet now. I went to one back on October and it wasn't a very pleasant experience. I got a cortisone injection that HURT LIKE HELL. So, I decided I wasn't ever going back. LOL.
Well, now that it's in both feet I am pretty much crippled. WELL< went to a diff doctor - diff practice - and OH MY GOD. He was so nice and gentle ..I got cortisone in both feet and I didn't feel it!! He numbed it first which was a really quick pick in the bottom of hell. Then they wrapped my feet to simulate how an orthotic would work. I have been PAIN FREE ALL DAY! I am so flipping happy about this - because I have been in some serious pain and just figured I was going to have to live this way for the rest of my life. I know I am not healed by any means, I will have to do some therapy and get those orthotics and probably get some more cortisone injections...BUT I can do it now. I have been worried to death about how I will walk after my surgery since walking after I have been sitting for any length of time is so very painful.
Oh gosh - rambled again. Anyway wanted to share some good news for a change!!

You did tell me though that it's just a technical thing right? You just need to straighten some paperwork out right? I so hope that's what I remember. Just know that I'm thinking about you and sending all the love and light and prayers I can. I also want to thank you for sharing part of your life. I'm really glad you're here. Keep me posted on what's going on.
