Glad the lady didn't fall over! lol
You must look "willowly"...
I love that term... tall, thin, moves so beautifully... gracefully. swish...
I'll get thinner but I'll never be willowly.... I'm just not tall enough for that...
Greetings my Dear Friends:
I think the second bad thing about being back to work (the first being less time with darling DH) is that I have so much less time for hello's in my favorite online family.
I had a fun Wow yesterday. As some may know I sell fine jewelry at a local department store. I had taken a walk downstairs and was standing next to one of the displays when two mature ladies walked by. I stood still to let them walk by and when they passed I started to walk again, one of them jumped back and said "OMG you scared me!! I thought you were a mannequin!" "You're so tall thin and pretty" LOL It did make an otherwise dull day a bit smilier.
I have been having a bit of a time with my blood surgar latley, keeping it up that is. I haven't been having super lows, but keeping it at 100 has been difficult. My family, in particular my dh and my dad think that I now need to gain weight. I have a normal bmi (5'6" & 130 = 20.9 bmi) Honestly, gaining on purpose just does not feel like on option. I just had my labs drawn, if the labs say I need to put on some weight then I will of course look at doing that. How has anyone else delt with this?
Hope all is well with you my dear Friends.

Which is exactly why I wanted to have the surgery in the first place. The things I enjoy doing were really beginning to impacted in a negative way. I knew if I didn't get myself under control I would soon have to lessen the extent of sharing in so many things that give me the greatest joy.
I also wanted to be in the position of greater priveleges perhaps being able to share in relief work in other countries when diasters strike. If I'm not healthy enough to share here... there certainly would be no point in me considering trying to go elsewhere. Besides...
I WAS NOT getting a passport with me being MO.
I'm looking forward to a new driver's license photo this year! and of course, getting that passport photo taken FINALLY!
I am very grateful for this second chance to really live my life!
It's 2:45am and thought I would start the day off by saying "Good Morning" and I hope you have a FABULOUS day!
Wanted to share a Daily Inspiration by Katie Jay that I read this week that can hit home some times!
Contribute: Being obese made your life smaller. You were less able to do even simple activities. You may have spent more time worrying about your woes, rather than figuring out what you could contribute to your community. Following WLS, your energy increases as well as your ability to focus on positive efforts.
Now, you're able to contribute time, energy and attention outside yourself. Maybe you want to be a foster parent. Or volunteer to help with a cause you've always wished you had the energy and stamina to support. You might just want to bring a meal to a sick friend or help your spouse with the yard work.
Whatever you do, approach it with gratitude for your new ability to help others!
Attitude of gratitude~
What is something you always wanted to do for someone else?
Have a great day~

It is nice to meet you. I think you have done an awesome job with WLS...I am still trying to get there.
I am a teacher of 12-14 year olds and a mom too. Girl that age is HARD to deal with and when you add the neurological complications...oh momma!!!!.....and nothing is black and white with humans....especially kids....hang in there....
This group is great about posative support. But do not feel like you ever have to put on the positive smile and pretend its all great for us....becuase your right.... thats not the way to get your needs met....just know that no one will bully you or put you down....now they may give you advice that makes you think....and it might on a rare occasion be as uncomfortable as an intense therapy session....but you will always know it comes from a place of caring...and that is an increadable resource....I am so glad you are here.....you are amoung kidered spirits.
hugs, Y
