Well..to play Devil's Advocate...they DO weigh us every time we go to a dr's office..no matter WHAT we go in for..and if the insurance comapany wanted to PUSH it, they could take those weights and say "hey-you weighed XXX lbs then and were OBESE"....but those SAME weigh ins were MY saving grace when building my "history" of FAILED weight loss attempts, when I had to show how I had stayed ft over the years...

So...shoot...who knows????...lol....it all depends on what insurnace underwriter is reviewing your file that day and if he/she has had coffee/got lucky/etc/etc

Congratulations on your weight loss too!!!  You lost 60 pounds before surgery--that is great!  Keep up the good work and you will be a 20 year old very soon when you reach goal weight!! Yeah!

Thanks so much Greg and you are not elderly at 49 so stop thinking those thoughts.  We have to think we are young and we will feel younger!

I absolutely agree, I make a gratitude list everyday and add to it the success that I had that day, as well.  It reminds me that I am on the road to a healthier me.  Six weeks ago, I broke my foot and had to have surgery; and spend 6 weeks on crutches.  Trust me, I wasn't grateful when I left the hospital, but God has showed me the little things like - my weight loss made it easier to get around,, the crutches built up my arms, I am able to do the things in physical therapy that they ask me to do, and gave me patience and compassion for others.  If this had been prior to surgery, I can't imagine what this journey would have been like.  Today, no crutches, I am walking, and get to get back on the bike; in addition to my physical therapy.   Yippee Skippee!

Thank you for reminding me to continue to be of serve to others and to be an encouragement for our fellow members.
