I didn't know they would pass the berries down the row.  That's amazing!!! The things you learn.  I think I would just die from the cuteness if I ever saw that.

I'll bet that was not tender eating out of your hand but very cool none the less.  You're right, that's all you have to remember when you think your life is boring.
hugs, Y

Hi! I'm Kelly. I am 2 months post op (VSG) TODAY!! I am happy to be part of such a positive forum. OH has been very helpful to me pre-op and post-op. It is great to share stories and ask others who are going through many of the same experiences for advice and guidance. I enjoy meeting new positive people. SOOOO happy to be here and feeling WLS success.

I live in northern Minnesota. I love to laugh.I'm 50, happily married and have 3 great kids.

I just finished a blog about being a "chrysalis"....an amazing stage of learning and transforming....slowly understanding all about being a butterfly --and a metaphor for the WLS process. I'm seeing a lot of butterflies in this forum and it is a delightful sight!

Y-I PROMISE to be more active here. I get up at 4:15 am daily, with the BEST of intentions...but..well..you know how time gets away from me....I'm out the door for :boot camp" nowadays Mon-Thurs at 6am, then straight to work from there. work has been so busy, severely cutting into my OH time (how DARE them!!)...I DO promise to be a better friend, to you,  and more supportive of all...I clench my teeth..and sit on my hands..when I read so much of the negative CRAP being spewed on the message boards-esp the hateful, FALSE information..just makes me nuts...It would be like ME telling someone how to build a space shuddle, if I was to tell them how to treat their lapband or eat with their DS. I try very hard not not to talk "first hand" about things I know NOTHING FIRST HAND about, but DO try to refer them to peeps who DO know..and boy--does THAT seem to **** folks off...weird..common sense just freaks them out..

Soooooooooooo glad THIS forum is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful Birdies!  they are also very social birds. Often they can be seen on Mountain Ash Trees eating the berries... one will pick the berry and pass it to the next bird on the limb and continue passing it until the last bird on limb has a berry. so cute.

Now... as for my buzzard... NOT cute but very thrilling.
I was at Busch Gardens Tampa and they have a wonderful bird show.
They asked for a volunteer from the audience- I volunteered- not knowing they were going to have the buzzard fly to me!
One of the staff gave me a heavy leather glove and instructions on what to do.

The glove had meat mashed into the palm of the hand... so when I stretched out my arm - holding in firmly steady the bird flew and landed on my shoulder- I opened my hand and it ate the meat from the glove. (not delicately - I might add) All the while flapping its large wings against my head!  lol

Then I was told to close my hand and the bird flew back to the trainer on the stage.

when i think my life is boring... i just have to remember some of the strange things i've done...
