I am doing the Wegman's brand of a chewable multi-vitamin... it is comparable to Centrum Chewables and are better tasting than the flintstones (which I refuse to do). Of course, when my NUT heard I was doing the Wegman's brand/Centrum Chewables she had a fit... the first ingredient in the Wegman's brand multi is surculose. She wants me to switch to the flintstones complete, but I just can't go there. Might have to cough up the extra money and get the celebrate...
Anyway, the Wegman's brand are orange flavor and I don't mind them. I wasn't to start the multi until two weeks post-surgery. My calcium and B-12, etc will be at 4 weeks post-op... though I may be waiting even longer to start my calcium? Due to a history of kidney stones I'm told they will wait until 6 months post op, though I think that could be dangerous! Yvonne and I have talked about the calcium deal before. I need to revisit that link!
Good luck!

Here! 384 at my highest. 293 today... 10 weeks out this coming Tuesday. 35 lost since surgery... 91 lost overall. Feeling a little down about only losing average 3.5 pounds per week, but the scale continues to move in the right direction!
Topic: RE: hit a wall in my weight loss goal
Gosh, I hit that wall numerous times, but the weight loss will kick back in. Yvonne is right, keep exercising but switch it up and don't get stressed out about it. Also make sure you are drinking enough water. I found that when I did drink half my body weight in ounces of water, it also helped it to kick in and come off. Don't ask me how that works. I was also not sleeping well, which impacted my weight loss, and when I could get atleast 7.5 hours of sleep that helped to. Both of those were suggestions that my doctor made. The other thing Yvonne reminds of us, it to focus on the Good and Gratitude. I have to remind myself that it took many years to put all this weight on, and it has been a little over 18 months since my surgery and I am less than 15 pounds away from goal. There are days I wonder why I did not hit it sooner, but it is about progress and for today I can get into a size 6. I have not seen that in many many years. I am grateful and Thank God everyday for walking me through this journey. So focus on the journey and continue to reach out for support.

Yep you've hit one of those plateaus. Mine lasted 6 weeks. The only thing I might suggest is changing up your exercise. Do you do the same things in the same order? Sometimes your body gets really smart and fights you tooth and nail to try to get you back to where your were. See if you can change up your exercise. You are right...the worrying will make you want to self medicate with food and yes we know that seems insane doesn't it? The best advice I can give you is to also concentrate on the good, the things you are grateful for and don't let that monster of obesity sneak back up on you. Think about how far you've come and keep that stress level down. Also....see yourself getting on that scale and breaking that plateau. Wake up in the morning and say "I'm breaking my plateau today!" Believe it, see it. If you don't, repeat it again the next morning. Say "I'm breaking it today" instead of saying "I'm breaking it tomorrow". I know this sounds strange but it doesn't hurt to try. It's a way to work on that subsconcious. Reaching out and talking about it always helps!

WELCOME!!! You know you've told a story of so many that lost the weight and gained it back. You know you've got the discipline, you lost all that weight on shakes but you can't do that forever. I failed at everything for 30 years until I got this miracle. It's not a magic pill but it will allow you to get back to normal and then it's up to you maintain. I figured that was an awesome trade!
I started playing golf about 8 years ago and they tell me I have a beautiful swing and I'm great at scrambles because I LOVE my driver but my short game is AWFUL! I want to divorce my pitching wedge. I know a lot of it is in my head but that's OK. I go and hit balls for exercise. I have no children but 5 cats and a dog. We traded places I think. I'm so glad you're here! I wish we lived closer so I could play golf with you when you get back to the greens.

Topic: hit a wall in my weight loss goal
it has been five months and things have been going great but for the last 3 weeks I have not lost a lb. I am getting a little frustrated. I work out 4-5 times a week and eat 3 mini meals a day really don't do snacking. I know we can hit plateau's but 3 weeks seemed like a long time. I have lost 80lbs yeah love that fact but I still have 86 more to go.
I am not trying to diminishing my success because I am so happy and proud of myself for committing to a healthier life. I feel very good about myself these days and I am happier. Maybe I should just be patient but I am kinda getting worried. With that worry comes the pangs of old habits wanting to eat crap or stop working out. I have not done either I just keep pushing myself to keep going.
I look at the before and after pictures on this site to keep the faith. If any of you have experienced this please let me know how you pushed through.
Thanks for your advice,
