WLS Success-through Powerful Positive Attitudes

The day is off to a dreary start and most likely will continue throughout the day and continue to increasingly chill off. Not much to be thrilled about with that...
HOWEVER...
In the larger scheme of things....
I'm getting smaller!
Finally, my scale is moving a bit faster than it had in weeks & weeks.
I just checked the BMI calculator on the hospital's website and I only have to lose a mere 2 pounds more to make it to HEALTHY RANGE!
Then from there 10 pounds to goal!
TIME TO CELEBRATE!
of course, my scale - doctor's scale are two different readings.
Generally about 3 pounds difference. So... my plan is to be 5 pounds under goal AT home which will bring me 2 pounds under goal at Doc's.
(which also allows for clothing-- since that isn't optional at the Doctor's office)
I feel really good this am. Quite surprised about that. Yesterday I did my Curves circuit then when I came home I tackled a walk that I've been wanting to do.
The walk is only a little more than a HALF MILE...
BUT... it is a serious HILL.
From my house to the bottom of the hill took me 9 minutes.
Coming back up only took me 5 1/2 minutes.
SO AMAZED!!!
When I told hubby he said, " You never could have done THAT before... I don't think I could even do that..." woo hoo!
oh, and it was wet and windy....
can I call myself an athlete yet?
Getting ready for my 5K THIS SATURDAY..
Half-Marathon in OCTOBER...
WATCH OUT BALTIMORE!!!
HUGS TO EVERYONE... remember the struggle is WORTH IT!

I've been exactly where you are. When you get to where the difference between 153 and 128 is so obvious, it just shows up so much more now. When you weigh 200 pounds, 30 pounds is not as visible. You've been through so much lately with your husband's illness and I can pretty much assure you that you'll put that weight back on. When I went to the first California Event I had worked so hard I forgot to eat and was about 120. I'm the far right in the picture below.
Now I've been sick and laid in bed for a week and I've actually gained about 5 pounds that I never gain. It's HIGHLY unusual for me but it will be off in a week, I guarantee it. I don't claim sanity but for me it is necessary for my mental health....what there is of it. It's just a deal I make with myself.
You've been so stressed so don't stress about this. Now IF you lose another 5 pounds or so I want you to tell me and then we may need to pump you up a little OK? Don't stress....cruise along and I think you'll find that it will come back before you know it. Again when you are at a smaller weight, the loss shows so much more. There is also a little talked about WLS anorexia so we should watch for that. Again I sooo understand. Keep us posted OK? It's all good!!

We Can Do Hard Things
Rephrase my friend; change 'hope' to 'will' "I will have as much success as you" There is SO much in how we say things to ourselves!
