Hi, my name is Roxie (thinner56), I thought I was a member of this group because I have been receiving info from Yvonne, but I don't think I'm an official member as yet. I have been reading posts and I'm so impressed and encouraged. I am one year out(May 5, 2009) and I want to learn sooo much!!! I'm really looking forward to becoming a real part of this wonderful group

Workout was ok. It was a bit difficult to stay and finish because they had new carpet put down in the whole place over the weekend and the place STINKS of glue. I seem to be getting more and more sensitive to off-gassing of chemicals- but she had the window open with frigid breezes blowing in and the ceiling fans on full tilt... so that helped me to get through it.
I hope it doesn't smell as bad tomorrow... I really need to get back to going my 3 full sessions a week. Plus with my walking/running sessions.
It all counts for the good.
JULY 23rd party time! 1 Full year since surgery!!! woo hoo

Congrats Molly!
It is good to start and now you are on your way!
You CAN do this!
You have done it before... so you can do it again....
I'm still struggling with a bit of lack of motivation... even though I want to reach my goal weight by the time my year surgiversary comes around. IF I pick up my pace I still can do it!
Was going to go out for a brisk walk this am... but had some stomach issues... so I hung around... waiting for something to happen...
feeling a little better now but still afraid to go out for the 3 mile walk I planned... (no pottys on route)
Well I think I'll go out for my standard 2 mile loop and then head on over to Curves....
anyhow.... You keep on doing what you are doing and you will meet your goals.... it is so helpful to have short term ones that can boost our confidence... be good!

Hi, CosmicFlower, I had my RNY on May 5, 2009, and wait until you see what a year can bring!!!! I wish you all the good luck possible on your new journey. I tried to go on your profile, but I could not get thru, but I can remember how I felt one year ago and I can relate to the A LOT of pain!! Let me tell you some good news though......you won't remember any of that pain a little ways down this road. What you will remember is why you made the wise choice of having wls. Everything is going to start getting easier for you as each day goes by,especially when the weight starts to drop away. I hope that you feel stronger every day, and just know that it's all worth it!!!! Best Wishes to You!

Thank you all for the encouragement! I'm back... and I'm alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's all that counts!
My surgeon is very pleased with my progress. I'm still not feeling good... in A LOT of pain, and the periods that I have to sit up, I feel very drowsy. I'll update more on my profile in a couple of days when I feel stonger.
Thanks again for all the good wishes and thanks for letting all know Yvonne!! You ARE a true angel!
