I just got here and I feel so awful for not knowing.  I just texted her phone and I so hope I'll get a response.  I don't want to call in case it would disturb her.  I so hope I will hear something.  Bless her heart.  Thank you Suzy!
hugs, Y

Practice happiness.
Some people can't forget the past. Others are always looking toward the future but precious few ever focus on "now."

How can a life be lived to the fullest if you are never happy in the moment? Not forgetting where you came from and still planning for your future, you can choose to make the most of the present moment. If you treat each moment with a positive attitude, you will look back upon a satisfying and full life. There is no time like the present to begin being happy.

Action for the day: You can choose to be happy. Today, treat each moment as an opportunity to express your happiness in some way.

Hi Everyone and Welcome all new members

I haven't been on OH in quite awhile ...sure do miss you guys. Anyway congrats on all the people who had their surgeries. The bench is getting longer and longer but we always have room.

I walked in my first 5K this past Saturday. My knees wont let me run yet but maybe next year. Congrats JELLEN on doing yours.  I have to thank you guys because I did not want to post I could not finish so I did the entire walk on the track ..no stopping. They had runners on the road and walkers on the track. I even cried when I was done because I accomplished one of my goals. I have mainly been doing the elliptical and bike for my cardio so I wasn't really use to walking all that distance. My thighs are arguing with me today but tomorrow I will argue back with them in the gym.

A few weekends ago we took a trip to Ithaca and walked around Taughannok Falls. We were stopping to take pictures and admiring the beauty. My husband thought I was trying to kill him. He is not use to exercising. Last week we joined the YMCA so he could work out as well. I'm trying to get him motivated again. At my hospital where I work I can use our Physical Therapy department, but it is for employees not their spouses.

I did find out that I have an ulcer. I thought when I got scoped that my Dr would dilate me. My opening was made smaller when I had RNY due to 2 leaks he found during the process. Well he didn't do that and now I am on this liquid  4x a day for the ulcer and instead of once I am taking nexium 2x a day. I go Wednesday for a follow-up check and I will ask my Dr a bunch of questions. I was out of it for the procedure and my husband didn't know what to ask him for me.
My nausea, pressure and burping has gotten better. I now can get my food and liquids in.YEAH

Can you try a lactose free protein shake?
the lactose might be the problem?
