Yesterday I went to the heath-club and I can't believe what I did to meet this challenge I got in on my MyFitnessPal.com where I keep my food and exercise diaries.  1 of my knee was a little wobbly sometime at a dinner at my Mom's place, but it is OK this morning. To meet goal of my challenge of 360 minutes this week, I did 25 min on Elliptical; 50 min on bike & 72 min on weights which equals 147 min & 1509 calories burned per my HRM. WhoooohooI felt soooo good!  This was a all time high for me in one workout session & I lived!!

I may try to make that a goal of mines when I am able to go to gym on a Saturday or Sunday.  To just do a marathon workout..I would have never even attempted this if I was not pushing myself to reach challenge goal.  I have entered many of these challenges in the last 3 months and so far I have never reached goal and I am determine to reach this one this week.

The other thing is I went to my Mother's place where they had the standard southern Sunday fare (which is very fattening) and I was determined not to out eat my workout!  I did good over her place and was under my calories.  The only healthy items there were the string beans and turkey.  And since she kept asking me to take a plate home, that is what I brought home.  I had small portions of some of the other favorites but refused to bring any of it home for today.

I also entered another challenge on that board this month and I am going to reach it too!  It is a weight challenge.  My goal in that challenge is to lose 7 pounds this month.  If I keep exercising 360 min per week and clean eating most times I will reach this goal also.  I am going to do it!

I like these challenges because they give me accountability because I have to check in and others inspire me to do more.  Even not making the goals when I do the challenge is good because I have a goal to reach for.
Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for your support!!

I'm so happy for you girl!  I got hungry just thinking about your mom's food so I'm really proud of you for being strong!  You are such an inspiration for all of us!

Thanks Yvonne!  It is so good having you in my corner and believing in me.  You know family things are very stressful for me and I think it is rubbing off on my sister too.  I had her throwing out cake.  I said if it is not worth the calories why are you keeping it.  Throw it out.  I tried to get her to throw out the fried chicken too and she was not doing it.  She is amazed at how I am just throwing food out if no one takes it home.  I do it in restaurants too.  It was a hard habit to break but I am never going to be the garbage disposal again. Have a good week and thanks again!

Hugs,
Molly

Way to go Molly!

I also have a gym membership but I have not gone it months.  My schedule has been so hectic that I am trying another tactic for the time being.  I have been dedicated to walking a minimum of 30 minutes at 3.2 mph.  So, I walked to church on Sunday (3.5 miles) and then played golf in the afternoon.  Yesterday at work, I walked to a lunch meeting (2 miles away) and tried to take the stairs when I can.  Once my like gets a bit less hectic I will be heading back to the gym.

Thanks for being such a great inspiration!!!!

Keep up the good work.
