Declutter your life.

Everything has its place: books belong on bookshelves, not stacked up on your bedside table; plates and food belong in the kitchen, not on the coffee table; your work papers belong in your office, not strewn all over the living room.

Clutter can be a huge distraction and can undermine your serenity and your goals. It can inhibit your care after WLS. Instead, maintaining a sense of order in the house will help you maintain a sense of order in your life.

Action for the day: Today, go through your house and find 20 items to donate to charity. Ask a friend to help if you think this will be too hard to do alone.

Molly... I gave away 2 bags of oversize clothes today.. so that is a start. Of course, the multiple boxes of clothing that was given to me seems like a challenge- trying to figure out what to keep- and what to give back.

I guess I'm learning that - just because I like the color or the fabric is an excellent quality - if it doesn't fit properly.... don't keep it... give it away.

Molly this is a great one.  Clutter can affect us in so many ways...even in our minds.  If we get rid of clutter we can make room for new things, new ideas and better things in general.  It's like holding on to old ideas and old ways.  When we get rid of the old stuff we make room for new!

When I got rid of my clothes it was a massive collection. 30 years of obese clothes filled about 6 of those huge black yard trash bags. I could barely pick them up but even though there was a lot of nice clothes, they didn't fit anymore and I didn't want them to fit ever again!

Thanks again Molly for always sharing great stuff.
Hugs, Y
