BE CONGRUENT

Be congruent.

Is there a difference between what you say you want and what you do? For example, do you say you want to maintain your weight, but then spend your afternoon snacking?

Being congruent involves aligning your desires with your actions. It's hard, and it is not a skill you can master over night. Congruency is a worthy goal, however, and will greatly improve with practice.

Action for the day: For today, practice being congruent. If you say you are tired and need to rest, don't go out dancing.

That makes sense! If we want to lose weight.... why are we standing in front of a bakery window staring at the goodies?
If we want to lose weight why are we going to eat dinner out at our former favorite ALL-YOU -CAN- EAT -BUFFET? ...
that is if we haven't come to terms with eating less- if it will be a major problem... avoid it. When we have come to realize that...
"All YOU can eat" may greatly differ from
"All you CAN eat" then we might consider going there.

All of us need to be SELF-AWARE... congruent.

What works for some - may not work for another.
What worked for us in the past... may not work for us in the present.

Someone said, "Be where YOU ARE- WHEN you are there!"

Makes sense- doesn't it?

yes it makes sense......:-)  Funny you mention "all you can eat" buffets.  I have not did those in over 15 years or more.  I had one friend who could not accept that I can not do those restaurants.  So we stopped going out to eat because I put my foot down and would not be coerced in to going.  I know they are problem for me so I do not go to them.

I see you have 1 more pound to go.....!  Yipppppeeeee!!!  I am getting excited for you like I have 1 more pound to go. lol!!  You go girl!!!  I see you are on a mission.  Starting you new Service year off at goal!

Molly, here's one of those tips right here regarding snacking right?  I thought about bringing this up in the other thread but I guess we do know this in our head but it's hard to put into action.  Really think on this one because it helps me big time!

Is there a difference between what you say you want and what you do? For example, do you say you want to maintain your weight, but then spend your afternoon snacking?

Yes these little jewels comes in handy at exactly the right time!  That is why I love them and post the ones I think may help others.  I read them every day and when I have time I post and read again.  Then I get feed back to help keep pounding them inwardly.  Plus with this one I learned a new word to add to my vocabulary....:-)  Congruent.
