WLS Success-through Powerful Positive Attitudes
XT: I just helped pull a Motorcycle OUT OF A DITCH!!!
Does ANYONE think that I could have done that a YEAR AGO???
NO WAY! not at 270 lbs!
So here's what happened...
Annually, in Lake George NY there is a HUGE motorcycle rally...
AMERICADE. We are an hour or so south of there near the NY State Thruway, so we see LOTS of motorcycles this time of year going to and coming from Americade.
Well....It's been raining here most of the day... showers with heavy downpours....I'm driving my husbands pickup home from work when I look ahead at the curve in the road and I notice a Red motorcycle in the ditch with a Guy wet & muddy, trying to get the thing out of there.
So i turned the truck around and asked if he needed help - if he was ok. He said yes.
he looked a bit dazzed. He said i flew over the handlebars and landed in the ditch. busted up his windshield- headlight and various other bike parts. Thankfully, somehow he avoided being busted up himself! no apparent broken bones. I guess MUD IS SOFT!!!
So as I was collecting stuff that had flown off of the bike another biker came by and assisted us with lifting the thing out of the ditch.
Also the forks weren't bent so he was able to ride it into town and get a room at a hotel... try to get the thing fixed tomorrow or MONDAY.
HUH... me lifting and pulling a decent size bike out of ditch...
another amazing WOW moment!
I'm really glad he is ok! could have been soooo much worse
Yvonne would say....
JELLENATOR!!!
But Kathy... I wasn't wearing my Red Cape with a big ol
"J"
on the middle of it!!!
You are right about that type of accident... being HIGH FATALITY rate. I didn't get much sleep last night... I guess the idea of coming up on an accident that could have been soooo much worse was on my mind.
I've been driving for many years and have seen MANY MANY bad accidents. I've known of quite a number of people who have died in bike accidents. My former Weigh****chers leader for one. My husbands cousin. the thought of coming up- being the first one on scene and finding this guy- or any one in a heap busted up would have really messed me up.
I have to drop off his windshield to him this morning. I hope (this sounds bad but it's meant in a GOOD WAY)
I hope HE IS SO STIFF that he can bearly move!
Don't want him walking away THINKING HE IS INVINCIBLE!
So neat that you took a safty course... so you are getting a motorcycle??? post photos please!
You ARE the JEllenator!! The picker upper of motorcycles and savior to all!
WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
hugs, Y

AWWWWwww YVONNE you crack me up!
That's fantastic!
BTW.... Follow up to Mr. CRASH....
I received a phone call this am from him. I didn't hear the phone so he left a message that He HAD gotten home safely.
He patched up his bike over at one of my friends - in their garage out of the rain. They are also bikers so they had tools that he needed. He was extremely grateful for All the help.
I really hope He learned something.
I love that job on my photo.... I'm smilin from ear to ear!
Well, I need to dash off to the gym and then over to a friends house for some computer help! Maybe He will be able to straighten me out on my lack of ability to upload my photos on a regular basis!!! Haven't forgotten about your request.....
JEllenator..... I'll B BACKKK!!!

my Friend Laurie has told me one of her MOM's favorite things to say about people... relating to how we drive...
"REMEMBER everyone is just flesh & bone...." ...
so don't drive like you would endanger someone else's life!!!
My MOM had a motorcycle, my brother & sister-in -law have them... other friends have them.... I wouldn't want someone to drive past my family or friends without offering a helping hand.
I had to help... GLAD I COULD!
