Yvonne you were you right!   You said at 6 months out having started the hair loss at 3 months out I should be stopping my hair loss. Just the last couple of times, and mostly the last time I showered, the hair loss has been almost nil!!!!!  Yeah!!!!  and phew.  When you get older you need every hair you can get.  I like to think it's going to grow back nicely.  The hair I still have seems to be good.  I remember reading posts on OH about supplements people believed would help their hair and started taking every one (selenium, zinc,  biotin, flaxseed, etc.) at the time I had surgery.  So, the new hair should be richly nurtured.
You are a gem Yvonne.  Someday maybe I'll make it to a conference and shake your hand.

First things first: Yvonne Really is a Gem!!

I was having trouble with hair loss before my surgery (I have pcos) Last summer I ran out of shampoo and started using DH's  'Loreal Vive Pro for men' and of course I kept forgetting to buy shampoo. I beleive it has helped thicken my hair a bit. I still use it. I shampoo the top of my head with it and let it stay for a few then I shampoo with mine (it smells kinda manly lol) It's inexpensive ($5-$6 a bottle) and I think it works as well as any of the expensive stuff I've used, and I am really hard on my hair!!  I wa**** everyday, blow dry, flat Iron, then hot roll.  So I'm prolly pretty lucky I still have any.....

Yvonne doesn't have ESP

SHE IS ESP...

EXTRA SPECIAL PERSON

and YES it is a BIG relief when the hair loss sloooows down and finally stops to a normal degree of shed. I was thrilled when mine finally stopped because it started early only about 4 weeks out from surgery- most people start at about month 3. YIKES talk about panic mode.

Now I'm just a happy happy camper!

Congratulations on getting past the extreme shedding!

Anne,
Thank you so much.  Hey I'll be in Cincinnati and Houston!  Thank you for your kind words.  And hey even though it's not about the hair so much...I do see things and feel things that other people don't sometimes.  It can be good and it can be bad.  I pick up feelings of people and animals that suffer so that's not so good.

So glad your hair is doing well!!!!!!!!!!!
hugs, Y
