I rode a roller coaster today

I went to Six Flags Over Georgia today and rode a bunch of the rides including three of the roller coasters. This is the first time that I have been to Six Flags since 1978 because until recently I was too big to fix on any of the rides. It probably doesn't seem like too big of a thing to do but for me it was really cool. If someone had told me a year a go that I was going to be able to do all the things I can do now I would have told them they were crazy.

I used to tell people that some people are just fat and that is just the way it is. And I used to believe that but it appears that I proved myself wrong. Yippee!!!!!!!

WOW! THAT IS TERROR-RIFFIC!!!  (new word- definition: the wonderful combined feeling of Terror and elation experienced when riding a roller coaster... terror when approaching the first apex of the big hill before going over.  example:

"OH GOD - Why did I get on this ride??? If I live to get off this ride....I'll never... fill in blank.... again")-

which is soon replaced with....

"THAT WAS THE BEST COASTER RIDE EVER...
WHO IS GOING WITH ME...

AGAIN???"

So.... Congrats to you my Friend!!!! WOO HOO too!

now... just a little thing to consider... you stated...
"It probably doesn't seem like too big of a thing to do but for me it was really cool."

I've been trying to respond to your post since you posted it!  I keep getting called away.  I just want you to know that I think what you did was phenomenal!!  I have used that same line about that if someone had told me that I would actually weigh the same thing for more than a year I would have bet BIG money against it.  Secondly I am super impressed because if I were to get on any roller coaster I would have a heart attack.

I am so glad that you proved yourself wrong and the next important thing is to remember that you felt this way OK?  Write it down in a journal or keep a calendar because eventually you will start looking for these moments and they will start to slow down but if you keep it fresh in your mind, you won't forget!

I'm soooooooooooo happy for you so keep them coming!!

I hope these moments don't slow down too soon, for the first time in many years I feel like I am really living life. For so long I was just drifting through life. This weekend I am ging back to Six Flags and taking my granddaughter with me so we won't be riding the roller coasters. We will be focusing more on the kinds of rides that kids ride so my old bones will not get beat up so much.

Thanks for the support Yvonne

Live that life and enjoy every moment.  Relish every minute and live it as full as you can...just don't forget. That's all you have to do. That's when we get in a little trouble...when we forget where we came from. Never forget that you realized your dream!  I am so happy for you and your family!!  I hope you'll be reporting on these trips over and over and over.

Wow - congrats big time!!!  I've never been on a roller coaster and that is one of my wieght loss goals!  I'm still waiting for surgery - hopefully within the next year.

I can really relate though because when I was in Florida in October I couldn't go on the roller coaster because of my size.

Once I get to goal I think it will have to be a 'yearly' thrill - the roller coaster ride for real!!!
