I wish I could help more!  I know my nutritionist went over the various food stages and what to eat and when... but i dont have the list here at my desk today!  I will check tonight see if I have any additional thoughts for you...
I am thinking:

Tomato soup with milk
cottage cheese
no sugar no fat greek yogurt - and you can mix some sugar free blueberry jelly with it...
egg drop soup

Also - maybe wait 30 minutes or more before adding fluids after your meal?  (sorry i know i am guessing here as I havent had the surgery yet...)

hang tough!!  we are rooting for you!

Oh yeah I do wait the 30 minutes.....

I guess I am going to have to break down and give the greek yogurt a try.  blueberry jelly sounds yummy.

Hmm...egg drop soup....that's an idea!  Right now I am enjoying a "pinto's and cheese" again from TAco Bell.  Hey if it works, right?

Thanks!
Suzy

Hi Suzy,

I could not read all the replies, but it is so normal to feel like I should not have had surgery in the 1st 2 months.  But I promise you it will get better for you.  All the symtoms you have are normal.  I had 3 very rough months.  And more than once I questioned my decision to have surgery within those 3 months.  Plus I was very depressed about missing food.  But after I saw the lost weight in 3 months it made it all worth it.  In the 4th month I was on cloud nine!  So hang in there and consider these bumps in the road.  The road will be very clear in a few weeks are so and you will be like I lost xxx pounds and feeling great!  I assure you this too shall pass......:-)

Hugs,
Molly

Are you SURE??       This WILL get better???

Actually one thing on my side -- I am not missing food at all.  That would really be killer.  I am feeling better today - but I have to find a way to get protein in me.  I cannot do protein shakes.  I tried one today and my pouch started snarling - so oh well!  sigh...

Have you tried the worldwide pure protein shakes? The vanilla  is about the same consitency of milk, so you're not taking in a super dense fluid that can hurt your our new tummy. They come in 21 and 35 mg cans.  No Sugar or Sugar substitutes. My opinion they are expensive but worth it.

Can you try a lactose free protein shake?
the lactose might be the problem?
