WLS Success-through Powerful Positive Attitudes
Not Doing So Good
Hi Friends,
My time on the computer has been very limited. I have been adding to my blog for updates. Yesterday I had a hematoma and seroma erruption. My house looked like a crime scene.
I was told twice the redness was from an infection twice although I never had a fever. Yesterday an explosion happened when I leaned over. I soaked my nightgown and bath towel with red blood and yellow fluid. There was so much it was like my water broke. I now have a 1 inch open seam above my naval. It was blasted open.
I had been in the ER for hours when the nurse came in and said my doc wanted to see me in her office upstairs. I called her on my cell phone and spoke with Nicci her nurse. She said the doctor wanted me to come up and I said I had been given morphine and put in a gown. I was dismissed until Thursday.
Now I wish I would have put all the bloody clothes back on and carried myself and my clear bag of bloody socks and garmets up to her office and waited in the waiting room with the rest of her patients. I think a few would have decided not to have surgery with her.
Tomorrow I have that followup from Monday (not yesterday). I promise myself not to let others to walk over me and to get the care I was promised and deserve.
I know this does not sound like me but I will not be dismissed again.

Oh sweetie...you make yourself heard. I wish you had walked in the office like that. I know they are all busy but unfortunately when times are tough and resources get slim, the squeaky wheel gets the oil. I know you are having so much trouble but hopefully you'll get some communication going tomorrow. Bless your heart and know that we've been really worried about you. Thanks for catching us up and get some rest.
Big hugs, Y

Sorry that has happened to you wonderling and I really hope you are getting better. I said before, I would have freaked out...
I definitely am sorry you have had a bad experience with Dr. Anderson's office. The only thing i can think is that she did not know the severity of this, or I would think she would have come down and seen you. I think if she wouldn't/couldn't come down, someone from that hospital should have wheeled you up to her office to show her what was going on and how serious it was. Again, that totally sucks. I have had nothing but good experience with her office, but to be honest, Dr. Anderson left right after my surgery and was gone for months... so the only person I have ever dealt with is JoAnn, her PA, who is a sweetheart and has been there every time I needed her. I have had all of my post op visits with her and I have nothing but good things to say about her.
Now, as for, Dr. Anderson, I can't say too much bad, because my surgery and recovery went pretty flawlessly, but to be honest, I have only seen her twice, for a total of about 4 minutes. So I can't say too much in regards to her, but it is terrible what happened to you and I will be praying for you. Good luck and seriously, don't let them walk on you. If you have something to say, say it because you never know how it may affect them and how they treat others in the future... You could help prevent this from happening again...
