I didn't know this group existed and am so happy be in a group that centers on "Success". It was getting to a point where I stayed off OH because I was tired of all of the negative people scared of the "What If".

I have spent every moment of my upcoming WLS excited and positive. I don't want anyone to ruin this time before and after. So here I am.

Good Luck, your positive attitude will get you through this!  It is the most amazing trip to go on.

Welcome!!!!!!!!!!! I was the exact same way!  I would often say that because I didn't know any better.  I also didn't see another post-op for 3 years after my surgery so I didn't regain because again I didn't know any better.  It was a long time ago and things were very different.  Please spread the word!

I'd love everyone to check out your post on the introduction thread too because I know it gets lost in that long thread.  Everyone it's here:

I can only imagine your repsonses on "Do you plan on failure".  I am a HUGE believer that we will get what we believe.  I planned on success and I plan for it every day.  I'm sooooo glad you joined our family!!  We have had several that joined as pre-ops and are at or near their goal weight now.  It is an awesome thing to watch.  So welcome, welcome, welcome!
hugs, Y

Yup... this board is like getting in a nice hot tub and saying... "Ahhhhh" a place for our weary bones... and minds to relax and not worry about name calling and nastiness...

Mind you we still talk about our concerns- but it's with the idea of looking for positive assistance in dealing with whatever issue we may be having.

So glad you found us... Come back after your surgery and let us assist you however we can. make sure you keep us posted to your progress!
congrats on making it this far!

Soon I'll be 9 months out... it just doesn't seem possible... but what a great year it has been... may this year be at the very least equally so for you!

Welcome Wonder, Welcome!! I am so glad you joined.  I felt exactly the same way.  I think there is also some Nutritional Misinformation going on, on the main board as well.

I will be sending you well wishes on Monday, and looking forward to hearing from you.

I will be 3 years out next saturday.  Now I can hardly remember the 'before' time, and everyday I am so thankful I chose this and stuck with it.

Wonderling-WELCOME!!!! And you just keep right on being POSITIVE and EXCITED!!!! And stay off that Main Board, Sweetie--just come HERE, when you need info and encouragement. Will your journey be pain free and all fairy farts and rainbows??? Of course not-it's LIFE CHANGING surgery...and you WANT your life to change--right???? But it won't be all gloom, doom, dumping and tofu either. It's a VERY exciting journey, and we're proud to be able to share it with you.

Thank you Gina my love.  For those that don't know Gina and I attended that very first OH event in Texas in 2004 AND I got to interview her on my show.  She calls me when I go missing (like starting to isolate) and she will keep you in stitches.  When you guys get a chance watch this!

Y-I PROMISE to be more active here. I get up at 4:15 am daily, with the BEST of intentions...but..well..you know how time gets away from me....I'm out the door for :boot camp" nowadays Mon-Thurs at 6am, then straight to work from there. work has been so busy, severely cutting into my OH time (how DARE them!!)...I DO promise to be a better friend, to you,  and more supportive of all...I clench my teeth..and sit on my hands..when I read so much of the negative CRAP being spewed on the message boards-esp the hateful, FALSE information..just makes me nuts...It would be like ME telling someone how to build a space shuddle, if I was to tell them how to treat their lapband or eat with their DS. I try very hard not not to talk "first hand" about things I know NOTHING FIRST HAND about, but DO try to refer them to peeps who DO know..and boy--does THAT seem to **** folks off...weird..common sense just freaks them out..

Soooooooooooo glad THIS forum is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I appreciate you my friend.  Everyone is kind here and mostly not afraid to post and that's the best part.  You are a busy woman and you do stuff that's very important.  Many people's jobs pale compared to what you do.  I hope I have someone half as wonderful as you when I am laying on my death bed.  You are an angel to those that are ailing.
