I wish the messages here were saved under our recent posts....

Hey everyone.  Hope everyone is doing well.  This is not really weight loss related, but more about the functionality of the "groups".

I kinda wish when we posted here it would be listed under "recent posts".  I usually go to my recent posts to see if anyone has replied to my threads, but when i post here, it doesn't show up.  I never do the "notify me of any posts" because when I would, I would gets pages of email from every time someone responded to a thread and it got a bit taxing to deal with.  So I always un-check that box at he bottom.  But the main reason I bring this up is because I tend to forget to check the group, except once a week when Yvonne (and thank you by the way) sends out the mass message about the board.

Again, no huge deal, I just wish there was a way to show my posts here under the recent posts button.  If I have missed something and you can enable this, please let me know how.

Thanks again for being there, even though I tend to forget you sometimes :)

Take care all and lose 'em if you got 'em! :)

It does show up in this forum.  It's the same on the main forum or a state forum.  It only shows recent posts from that actual board.  I only get notified when someone actually responds to my actual post so I'm not sure which thing you unchecked.  It may have been when so many people responded to a particular post you had going on the main board.  Anyway, glad you're back!  Go back and when you respond to a post just check the box that says notify me if someone responds to "my" post and you should be OK.

Yeah, I was talking about un-checking the box that says "Notify me when someone replies to this post" because I used to leaved that checked and my email box would fill up with pages and pages of "so and so replied to your post"  I always un-check that now and when I go to my account, I click on "my posts" and use the links there to check my posts and see if anyone has responded.  But when I post here in the group, it does not show up under "my posts".  I have to actually come to the group to see if someone responds to me.  But I can just make an exception here and use the "notify me" box.  Okay, confusing enough? :)  Simply stating, I was just wondering why it doesn't put what I post here under "my posts"...

Perfect solution!  All I can say is you must have been posting some good stuff to get so many  people replying to your post.  Yeah, just check it here and you'll be good to go!

Geekie alert: some of you may find the following computerese-talk really boring. You have been warned!

The latest OH newsletter said a site redesign is in the works. Maybe groups will be put on an even footing with forums on the "MyOH" page.

Hey, I just noticed on my "MyOH page" that there are three tabs under "community updates." One of the tabs is "My Groups" which seems to have the functionality you seek, brother Brad.

Maddeningly, there is no way I can find to insert an image into a post here like you can in your own blog. So... click this link to see a screen capture of my personal "MyOH" page showing this tab:

Hope all y'all are having a great Monday morning! I can put on my own socks this morning!!! See my profile for my blog update on this subject.
