DENIED??? Are they SERIOUS?
Yeah it was really just a technicality of sorts I guess. Clara emailed me today and said she doesn't think I should be worried about being denied again. She just doesn't have any idea WHEN they'll approve now...so it might push my surgery later - into April! Which is fine as long as they approve!!!!
I did a REALLY good thing for myself today. I FINALLY went to a podiatrist for my plantar fasciitis that I have in BOTH feet now. I went to one back on October and it wasn't a very pleasant experience. I got a cortisone injection that HURT LIKE HELL. So, I decided I wasn't ever going back. LOL.
Well, now that it's in both feet I am pretty much crippled. WELL< went to a diff doctor - diff practice - and OH MY GOD. He was so nice and gentle ..I got cortisone in both feet and I didn't feel it!! He numbed it first which was a really quick pick in the bottom of hell. Then they wrapped my feet to simulate how an orthotic would work. I have been PAIN FREE ALL DAY! I am so flipping happy about this - because I have been in some serious pain and just figured I was going to have to live this way for the rest of my life. I know I am not healed by any means, I will have to do some therapy and get those orthotics and probably get some more cortisone injections...BUT I can do it now. I have been worried to death about how I will walk after my surgery since walking after I have been sitting for any length of time is so very painful.
Oh gosh - rambled again. Anyway wanted to share some good news for a change!!

OH SUZY!! Isn't it great that you got your feet taken care of. You know my saying about "we are rarely upset for the reason we think"? It's a shame that we live with pain sometimes and don't know how much better things are until it stops. I know I lived with back pain for years and pushed it down and just thought it didn't affect my personality. I was so stubborn because I just couldn't let it get in the way of my job until I was nearly disabled. I had 2 ruptured discs and couldn't stand any longer. I would run from chair to chair to the car. Isn't it great when the noise stops??? I'm so happy for you!!
I need to research that same thing for feet. I sometimes have horrible pain at night in my feet and I don't know what it is. I wake up and move my feet for a bit and it will finally go away but it's just brutal sometimes.
YEA for you for going to another practice!! Good thinking girlfriend. There's usually another way and it's so great that you went looking for a solution.
hugs, Y

I am so pleased you got your feet taken care of :) Walking is a huge part of after surgery and your going to need those puppies of yours in walking shape. I can relate to the bankruptcy..we had ours 7 years ago and it was very hard for us to do it..but now things are starting to look up and we are working hard to get our bills paid off so that we will be debt free within two years..that is our goal anyway. Medical bills even small ones..pile up fast and we do not want to have to file again. I have been thinking about you and am praying for your approval from the insurance company..you are going to be so ready for this surgery..and we are going to be so ready to welcome you to the losers bench :)

Thanks, Katie!!
Bankruptcy was not entered into lightly - belive me. I shed a lot of tears over it - but I we are so much better off now. No more getting nauseaous making out the bills - What a relief!!!! I swear to god I will never use another CC again. Now I just need to get a budget going - but still waiting for the other stuff to get cleared up - Oh found out yesterday that the trustee will Settle the annuity thing.
he gets 80% - we get 20%. I was a bit annoyed, but we are so much better of now - and I can't spend my time being upset over that. So now I wait til I get the official word on that - and I guess he will make the arrangements to "cash out" the annuity.
I got another dose of cortisone in my heels yesterday..feels good again. Going to therapy on Monday and getting casted for orthotics! I guess things are lookin up!!!!!
