Welcome Brad,
You will love this group. Everyone is so kind and there's no in your face type arguments going on. I came across one of your posts when you were attacked awhile back and  I couldn't believe it .....anyway I usually stay away from the main boards. This group is great for support and education. I'm like Katie in that my husband and I have both have had RNY surgery. His was open about a year ago and mine was lap 14 days ago. I think it does help to have the both of us going through it. I have to admit when hubby went first I did have some insecuritites at the beginning when he received more attention from the opposite sex. Just remember to tell your wife how much you love her. I know you do, but its good to reinforce that and trust me even if she doen't verbalize her fears, those little things  will make her feel much better.

Thaks Tressa, I appreciate the kind words.

Yeah, I about left the boards the last time I was attacked.  It was insane.  Having 20 people pile on a new post op was ridiculous.  But I don't want to bring that negativity here.  Everyone seems like great people over here and I am glad I was accepted into the "family"! :)

Hey Brad!

Welcome and congrats.

You know-all these things take time. New body, new life and ultimately new mind. I don't think our bodies change without our minds changing too! LOL! That is LOTS of change.

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. This board is absolutely warm and welcoming-and a good safe place to share as well.

Look forward to seeing you here!!

Peace,
T

Hi Red, I have seen you around the main board.  It is very good to see you here!  I don't think we have spoken much, so I will take the time to say hello, and it is very nice to meet you!  I would write more, but I am about to fall asleep at the keyboard! :)
